My first use of Sync was a rental car w/v1 and it was so good that I later bought... but in that system, if I were using the USB to play music I could just hit the voice button and say "Play Track XYZ" and it would play it. If I wanted to make a phone call, I'd have to say "Phone," then wait for the confirmation, and then say "Call Liz." If I wanted to call someone else, I would then simply say "Call Someone Else," not having to say "Phone." Wanting to play USB again, I'd have to say "USB" and then the play commands...
Then I bought my 2009 Escape with v1.1 and it makes me say the context EVERY time. If I'm using the USB, I have to say "USB," then after confirmation, say "Play Track XYZ." Same with the phone... it never assumes that since I'm already on USB or Phone or whatever, that I am making commands in that context. It's pretty darn frustrating when you want to jump around between tracks or make a series of phone calls.
Anyone else have this experience? Any trick to defeating it?
