  1. iTunes has a button to the right of the volume slider where you can select the output source. Select Dock Connector for the USB output.
  2. You will notice the little icon at the bottom of the media player (to the right of the volume slider) Here you can select where the audio is sent, Dock Connector (USB) or Sync (bluetooth audio) My phone usually defaults to BlueTooth
  3. I would start by deleting your phone on the Sync system as well as forget the Sync on you iPhone. Now add the iPhone again. (If you have the My Ford Touch system, this is a common behavior regardless of the device or version)
  4. Agreed. Let's hope the rewritten software (due out early 2012) addresses that.
  5. If this POS could be hacked into a "fixed" status...Ford would have done it long ago. Rumor has it that Q1 2012 will give us a total rewrite.
  6. Ha! Let me know how the mod works for you. It just seems that hacking into this POS will only make it a bigger POS
  7. The day after you posted this, Ford made the 2.11 update available for us owners to install! Check out SyncMyRide website
  8. Take your VIN and register on the SyncMyRide website. It will show you the version that is installed on your truck. As of Friday, you can now download the v2.11 (if needed) to a thumb drive and install it yourself!
  9. I was able to get text messaging working on a Samsung Windows Phone 7 I borrowed from AT&T. There are very few (2-3) phones that support it. Ford kinda sold us a bill of goods when they said it was a feature
  10. Thanks for sharing. I've seen on the SyncMyRide forum that one owner had it installed yesterday.
  11. I have Nav in my '11 Edge. I've never seen the area on Sync My Ride where I can input favorite destinations. Can you elaborate?
  12. Make sure the pics are sized within the specs From page 55 of Touch manual... Photo display limitations: • Compatible file formats are as follows: .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp • Each file must be 1.5 MB or less. • Recommended dimensions: 800 x 378 • Only the photograph(s) which meet these conditions will be displayed. Photographs with extremely large dimensions (i.e., 2048 x 1536) may not be compatible and will appear as a blank (black) image on the display.
  13. More like... "I'm sorry Dave. I'm busy indexing your iPod" or "I'm sorry Dave. I'm busy doing scheduled maintenance" or "I'm sorry Dave. Could you repeat that?"
  14. Gen 2 v2.8 is for teh MyFordTouch systems. Cars with just Sync have a different version.
