I have tried downloading the update to usb thumb drive 4 times now. I get an error trying to install every time. Never had an issue updating normal Sync 2 and 3 updates but this map update is driving me crazy. using USB 3 drive

Version 3.3 is out for 2019 models only. Everyone else will get it once Ford feels it’s stable enough. 2019 models get it from the factory build

WiFi should work on all model years starting with 2016. I haven’t seen the the 2019 models with 3.3 installed yet

Software above 3.0 is only available on 2019 vehicles from factory. Nothing has been released to the public yet. I heard 3.3 will allow for wallpaper changes like Sync 2

Sync 3 is not called a MyFord Touch. Just known as Sync 3. It does not have RCA connections

Late model 16's were shipped with Sync 3 v2. Just need the USB hub. My dealer told me yesterday that they just received the literature on the upgrade process. Said it should happen shortly

For CarPlay a software update plus hardware upgrade will be needed ( 2016 Edge with Sync 3 ) From what I hear a USB module or upgrade is needed

Yes confirmed vehicles with Sync 3 will get an update. All 2017 models it will be standard equipment. ( or possibly some trim levels )

Now can anyone confirm if Car Play or Android will be a " add on " down the road to Sync 3 MyFord Touch?

Holding the button for 3 seconds will give you Siri integration

Just updated to 3.8 and cannot get a confirmation back on the Sync website. I put the usb flash drive in but not recognizing it

For some reason only the 2014 models are being upgraded to 3.7. Does anyone know if the update will come to 2013 and earlier models? Seems like sync 2 is being abandoned in anticipation of sync 3
