  1. You sure this is an Edge Limited? Could it be an Edge Unlimited?
  2. Yes, assuming you have about $20K to replace the entire dashboard, steering wheel, and electrical system. Anything can be done with enough money.... If you want Nav in your 201 truck, either sell it and get one with Nav, or get a $99 Garmin.
  3. As explained in the manual and in countless threads here, you have to load photos from a CD. You can't use a USB for that.
  4. Why the double posting. That's not good forum etiquette you know....

  6. Push the "Legend" button. You may have to touch the screen first to refresh the display of the buttons for this feature.
  7. You should be able to cycle through the displays on each half of the split screen by touching the little arrow in the corner. I'm assuming you did not read the manual about this, right?
  8. Since LV was one of the hardest hit areas in the recession, I'm betting there is not much new on the newest maps. Do foreclosed properties have a special icon?
  9. Some phones have a volume adjustment that you can change, but usually it can only be done while the phone is on a call. Some people have had success with this approach.... try futzing with your volume while on a call, it may help.
  10. Not sure why you are whining about this. It happens all the time with new technology... new computers come out with new and faster processors that are much better than the stuff they were selling less than a year ago. One of my hobbies is photography, and my favorite manufacturer (Canon) has put out several new SLRs camera that are much better than the one I bought less than 2 years ago. New point and shoot cameras come out every week! Why would tech in automobiles be any different? And as I've said before, the lack of Sync services in Canada is not a Ford issue, it's a Canadian Government issue and their restrictions to manufacturers who want to provide these services. Believe me, if Ford could sell these services to paying Canadian customers, they would.
  11. They are under the "Podcast" genre in the USB tab. Just like music, simply select the book file you want and hit play. Since most of the books I download from the iTunes store have several separate MP3 files, set up a playlist with each of the files in order. The files will play in order, one after the other. Works great.
  12. Sure, it could be done. All you need to do is get the system itself and all the parts, including the new LAN network, new steering wheel. Replace your entire electrical system since Sync will put a load on the current one. Make room under the dash somehow for the Sirus and navigation antennas. Do you have at least 5 figures in your bank account?
  13. Uh, have you read the manual about how to pair your phone? You have to do that first before the car can recognize your phone.
  14. Maybe the don't put that feature on the lesser Ford brands....
  15. FEH!! I say FEH when I'm disgusted at something.... I noticed that the names come up only if the incoming number is exactly like the one in the phone book.
  16. This has been discussed over and over and over again. If you do a search, you will find the answer to be......... remove the fuse.
  17. This has been discussed before. No, there is no way to change the voice, although lots of folks hope that this will be a feature in the future.
  18. If the number is in your phone book and associated with a name, that name will show on the screen on incoming calls. No way to get it to announce on the speakers though. Funny, calling your car a FEH. What is that, anyway? I'm not too familiar with the lesser Ford brands... <_<
  19. I doubt it will be available with the current versions of Sync. However, the new MyFordTouch systems describe that an Air Card can be used to establish a mobile WiFi hotspot. Check out this video at about 2:10 where the media features are described. Note also the 2 USB ports and the SD card slot.
  20. I was told that Canadian Federal privacy regulations prevent use of these features in Canada. Basically, Ford would offer these features to the Canucks, but the government won't let them. So direct your anger to the proper party -- the Canadian Government.
