Perogymcgee 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2022 Hey all, I bought a 2012 ford escape limited with sync 1 with the navigation touchscreen and I am unable to fr a consistent connection of my phone to the sync system. Most times it won't connect but the odd time it does. Even when it does connect, I can't get any music to play through Bluetooth. Even the line in aux or USB port don't work. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? I've tried the battery disconnect and fuse pull. Nothing changes. 🤷 Thanks for any help or advice! Multitask 38 Report post Posted March 7, 2022 go to owner.ford.com. create an account, see if there is an update... Sync 1 for a modern phone , will be iffy... factory reset... will clear settings (not take you back to Factory) etc etc
Muzicman61 12 Report post Posted March 10, 2022 10 year old technology will certainly face challenges with newer phones as Multitask mentioned. But your USB and Line In should work just fine. Agree, try a factory reset.
enigma-2 6 Report post Posted March 16, 2022 What phone do you have? (Have you updated the O.S. for the cell phone lately)?
Multitask 38 Report post Posted March 16, 2022 Sync 1, may or may not connect to a modern cel phone... it will have to do with the bluetooth of the car and of the phone, and if they are compatible. 😎
shafe9 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2022 I have the same problem with 2014 cmax. restarted phone, disconnected bluetooth, etc etc. I looked at owner ford site (I've done the sync updates on all my other fords) and it says I need to go to the dealer. Is there anywhere I can download the sync 1 (MFT?) 4.3 update and do it myself?
