Don't believe that if Ford does an update to Sync 2 that it won't change what's there, back 1 or 2 updates ago they took out the option to use the downloaded phonebook address's for Navigation destinations rather than fix the minor problem it had. That's removing functions and not paying us for the loss. I guess their software people can figure out how to ignore the country field or fix it so that it works with the phones. That's probably why SYNC 2 has so much problems.

FordIVTteam I talked to a person at Ford Dearborn, Mich and they confirmed that phonebook to destinations was removed with Gen2-v3.7 and not putting it back in. Not nice to remove options instead of fixing them. Also if you are with Ford as you state then why can't you pass this information along to where it's needed to go at Ford instead of having customers go to and sign on several different sites. One site "Syncmyride" should be where Ford owners can get and post information since it is used for updates and has the customers vin and vehicle information.

If I enable SIRI while the phone is locked then anyone that finds my phone can make all the calls they want thru SIRI plus use the phone for a lot of other functions. That makes locking the phone almost useless for protection. Bluetooth can make phone calls with a locked phone, should be able to use SIRI. Bluetooth must be paired with unlocked phone which then works with it locked thus being protected from most unauthorized people.

Just installed Gen2-v3.8 and then phonebook address to Navigation was NOT put back in. Also they added the use of SIRI for the iPhone but the phone has to be unlocked to use the function. Not to safe to be riding down the highway and then reach to unlock the phone to use the hands free SIRI.

Update on missing options I reported earlier the following: 1. The "Easy Entry and Exit" that I use to have is no longer there. 2. The 30 min Automatic engine shut off if left unattended is no longer there. 3. The phone address book to Destination is no longer there. 1 & 2 are there on Sync version 3.7 its just that they are buried within the menus and the update had reset the menus to default which made it hard to find. The Dealer found them and showed me the several steps to get to them. The 3rd option "address book to Destination" has been confirmed by Ford in Dearborn, Michigan to have been removed in revision 3.7, I asked them to please put it back in as their Sync services doesn't always work if you are in a poor cellphone connection area such as the mountains of PA or NC or out West.

Jaclyn Can you tell me if the clock is set manually will it change automatically when time-zones are crossed?

Hi FordIVteam So you know about the clock problem being 1hr off but don't fix it? When will it be fixed? I also lost other functions when I updated, these are: The "Easy Entry and Exit" that I use to have is no longer there. The 30 min Automatic engine shut off if left unattended is no longer there. The phone address book to Destination is no longer there. Ford not only doesn't fix the clock problem but also removes options. This seems to me that owners should start a law suit against Ford. We payed for these options when we bought the vehicle, Ford has no right to remove them.

This was added to the Gen2-v3.7 update as a selection. Just press on the time displayed while getting directions and then you can select what is displayed. How ever this update removes the address book to destination option, also the "Easy Entry and Exit" setting, and also the 30min auto engine shut off feature if the car is left running while your away from it.

SYNC Version Gen2-v3.7 removed the "Easy Entry and Exit" function, the 30min automatic engine shutdown if unattended, the phone address book to destination on Navigation. Ford should be giving everyone who upgrades to this revision a check for $1000 since they are removing options from the vehicles. If you add options you have to pay so they should have to pay us when they remove options.

Ford just came out with SYNC Gen2-v3.7. I loaded it and thought they would have fixed this clock problem, but it still does not work. When you Reset to GPS Time the clock is still off by 1 hour. I guess Ford figures it will be correct for part of the year so why bother to fix your $35,000 dollar clock.

Ford really fixed this problem!! They took out the option completely in the latest SYNC version Gen2-v3.7. What kind of programmers do they have, instead of fixing the county problem they remove the option. This sucks.

Does anyone from Ford ever read any of these posts anymore. If not then where can I post to have them read it.
